Duplicity of TTP leadership

DUPLICITY OF TTP LEADERSHIP

It has been obvious through their actions in Pakistan and from Afghanistan that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s leaders are known for being deceitful and dishonest. Duplicity of TTP leadership They depend on mistreating their members and tricking those who don’t know any better to fulfill their self-centered plans. Different patterns and facts support these statements, which have been spotted during years when the group was active. What gives the biggest hint of their deception is the double standard they claim in their supposed “holy cause.” Though the TTP advertises its struggle as having religious motives, its leaders stay in Afghanistan and escape any danger from fighting.
Among the leaders operating in Afghanistan, Mangal Bagh, Muhammad Khorasani, and Faqeer Muhammad have made it their stronghold but have refused to ever fight alongside their men in Pakistan’s zones of conflict. What the group calls for their own supporters in Pakistan is exactly opposite to the attitude they show toward their enemies. The fact that they do not take part in fighting shows that some people are ready to risk their lives for a cause, while these people are not. Such behavior gets worse when we look at parliamentary members flocking to join the new government after their old one was ousted. These leaders used the idea of peace and negotiation to gain an edge and expand their authority in Pakistan, binding the conflict issue with their thirst for power. Even though the leaders led a privileged life in Pakistan, lxl their soldiers suffered from severe danger, lack of resources, and hostility while being brought down in senseless attacks meant to please the leader. It is also apparent from their actions that the leaders of the TTP fail to have the courage to join their “jihad” within Pakistan.
Even though a number of TTP leaders have been killed in Afghanistan, they still prefer working from abroad and dispatching their recruits to face the violence in Pakistan. They go as far as targeting poor Afghan people to get them involved in their system. This method helps the leadership of the TTP by supplying no-cost fighters for their activities and also creating more conflict and disagreement between Pakistan and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IAG). The TTP’s leaders betrayed the soldiers as well as their own people and Afghanistan by putting everyone at risk for their quest to be in power.
TTP leaders use their supporters as tools with no value to them in their fight. There is a lot of proof that this attitude exists. Because of power-hungry and money-hungry internal disagreements, many of the TTP’s leaders in Afghanistan have been assassinated. It is obvious from these rivalries that political or religious beliefs don’t matter as much as getting personal benefits. The media conflict is a strong sign of growing tensions within the groups, and this is expected to cause violent clashes that will take the lives of young men. Most of these militants, who are often very poor, are convinced that dying as suicide bombers is a noble duty, but the ones acting as leaders and their families are not the ones who bear such risks. It becomes obvious from this difference that the people in charge have little respect for those who join the military.
Besides, leaders of TTP are controlled by distant foreign powers that are responsible for financing and assisting their fights against Pakistan. As a result of backing from outside sources, the TTP leadership fails to uphold the ethical principles liked by Muslims. With a mercenary mindset, they are spilling the lives of Muslims in Pakistan to pay back foreign powers that do not care much about the peace or growth of this region. This act of treachery reveals that the TTP is really only a band of killers paid by foreign forces, which has no religious or nationalist objectives and is ready to damage their own territory and people for cash. This need for support from other countries clearly shows that there is no connection between their words and what they stand for. It is a fact that the Mehsood tribe’s rule in the TTP is centered mainly on looking after their own interests. The Mehsood leaders make use of other smaller groups and factions within the TTP to boost their power and control in the organization. Many times, these sub-groups are recruited from other places and are exploited to fulfill the Mehsood leaders’ selfish ambitions. TTP’s core leaders displaying favoritism toward tribes and ethnic groups has made other members feel irritated and uncertain, which increases the turmoil within the group.
The top leadership of TTP has separated itself completely from Pakistan’s religious, ethical, moral, and cultural values. Their treatment of people is the opposite of the values held by the people of Pakistan. They take advantage of religious beliefs, changing the truths to endorse killing, which makes their followers trust that they are working for a holy purpose. They act only for themselves, covering their agenda with references to religious symbols and words.
However, many Pakistanis now realize that the group is far from righteous and that it looks out for its leaders’ selfish gains instead of the nation. More people know about the dangers of the TTP, and Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies are working tirelessly. This teamwork is expected to lead to extinction of the terror group. With the help of its population, Pakistan’s security forces are firmly blocking the TTP’s plans. With their operations and intelligence, LEAs have already dealt a big blow to the TTP’s network and will not cease their efforts until terrorism is completely ended in the country.
At the same moment, the government and the people of Afghanistan, especially those of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IAG), should acknowledge the TTP for its treacherous acts. The group’s way of using Afghan people and Afghan ground for terror activities is a great danger for Pakistan and could also harm the safety and character of Afghanistan. Trying to cause disagreements between the IAG and Pakistan is part of the TTP’s usual aim for their own self-interest. If the IAG wants to ensure peace and handle its duties, it should restrict the TTP’s actions and not offer them a place of safety. At the same time, Afghan refugees should watch out for the misleading messages of the TTP. The refugees have been greatly helped and protected by Pakistan’s hospitality for over four decades of troubles. Falling for the TTP’s ideas would be a major offense against the brotherly links that have existed between the two nations for generations. Refugees have to watch their surroundings and not fall for anything the TTP might offer, since the TTP’s promises never come true and the path it offers ends in devastation.
All in all, the TTP’s leaders show hypocrisy, cowardice, and manipulation at every opportunity. By staying hidden in other nations and encouraging their followers to fight while they remain free, by betraying their beliefs for foreign cash, and by taking advantage of tribal ties for personal advantage, TTP’s leaders have shown they are enemies of both Pakistan and Islam. They take advantage of Afghans and aim to stir conflict between their countries to satisfy their ambitions for leadership and money. Even so, people in Pakistan, with their strong security guards backing them, are alert to these plans and are committed to removing this problem from their homeland. If the nation stays united, watches closely, and remains firm, the TTP’s threat will be defeated and Pakistan’s citizens will enjoy peace. Besides, the IAG and the people of Afghanistan should detect the TTP’s lies and block them from hiding and recruiting. It is only when all countries in the region unite that the region will enjoy lasting peace and prosperity.
