Cristiano Ronaldo Confirms Retirement Plans, Fans Saddened

Global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he is preparing to retire from football, citing a desire to spend more time with his family. The announcement has left fans around the world feeling deeply emotional.

The 40-year-old striker, currently playing for Al Nassr, acknowledged that ending his legendary career will be incredibly difficult. However, he emphasized that he has been mentally preparing for this transition for many years.

Ronaldo, the highest goal scorer in football history, has scored 952 goals across club and international matches. He previously stated that he aims to reach 1,000 goals before officially stepping away from the sport.

In a candid interview on Piers Morgan’s show Uncensored, Ronaldo shared, “I believe I will be ready for this decision. It will be tough, but I began preparing for my future when I was just 25, 26, 27 years old. I think I can handle the pressure.”

He described the adrenaline of scoring goals as unmatched, but acknowledged that “everything has a beginning and an end.” Ronaldo expressed his eagerness to dedicate more time to raising his children and nurturing his personal life.

Reflecting on his former club Manchester United, Ronaldo admitted feeling disappointed by their recent performance. He continues to follow the club’s progress and was saddened to see them finish 15th last season, marking one of the worst periods in their history.

“I am saddened because this club is one of the most important in the world,” he said. “It still holds a place in my heart.”

Ronaldo criticized the club’s lack of proper structure, but expressed hope that things will improve in the near future, noting that Manchester United has immense potential.
