RAW’s Dirty Game Moves to Kashmir

RAW’s Dirty Game Moves to Kashmir

Once more trying to fan turmoil in Pakistan, India’s foreign intelligence arm, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), is focusing on RAW’s Kashmir. RAW seems to be repeating the same old approach: fund terror, change narratives, and utilize local proxies to create instability following disastrous interventions in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). But this latest effort in( RAW’s KashmirKashmir is already starting to fall apart, much as their earlier games failed under the weight of opposition and truth.

RAW mostly supported the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), providing funds and support meant to split the province from inside. Clearly, the objective was to sow anarchy, subvert Pakistan’s sovereignty, and present a picture of unhappiness where growth and integration were under way. The Pakistani government answered, though, with accuracy and tenacity. Mostly under Radd-ul-Fasaad, security operations destroyed several terror networks. Over 75% of the top leadership of the BLA has been removed since 2016. Their movement is still weak, confined to fake rhetoric and desperate actions.

Likewise, in KP, RAW discovered eager partners in the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a terror group notorious for attacking security personnel as well as civilians. RAW poured money, weapons, and false information into the area from safe havens spread across the Afghan border. But here also the scheme collapsed. Scarred but not broken by the agony of terror, KP residents stood with the state. Strong counterterrorism initiatives, community awareness, and national solidarity guaranteed that the impact of the TTP was limited. Supported by the people, Pakistan’s security agents destroyed hundreds of terror cells and changed the story.

RAW now looks to Kashmir, a territory historically under constant political maturity and resilience yet one that has always stayed under the crosshairs of foreign objectives. The playbook sounds somewhat familiar. Employ local puppets, disseminate false information, fan group conflict, and cause disturbance. Kashmiris are not, however, drawn for it. Having seen the suffering and destruction foreign intervention causes, they are opting for peace over provocation. This time they are standing strong, for stability, for Pakistan, for togetherness.

Once more engaging in its dirty game in Kashmir, RAW is leveraging covert financing combined with digital warfare. Designed to disseminate hate, false news, and anti-Pakistan propaganda, hundreds of phoney social media profiles have been linked back to India. Their goal is to shape young brains, inspire street action, and damage the reputation of a calm Kashmir. Still, the reality is more powerful. Particularly the younger generation, Kashmiris today are more knowledgeable and vigilant than they were years ago. They have shunned violence and bloodshed since they have seen their results.

The strategies have not changed; just the topography has. RAW’s approach is still agonizingly predictable, much as in Balochistan and KP: pay locals, instil terror, and try to rip apart society. But every time this recipe has been applied, it has failed. It developed opposition in Balochistan. It bred unity in KP. And in Kashmir, awareness and rejection of it is already growing. The people are aware that letting outsiders control their future cannot produce any benefit.

Though they are not strangers to suffering, Kashmiris are also no more strangers to the force of national cohesion. They have seen how foreign supported anarchy serves only to further adversaries of peace. And they know who benefits from separation. Raw’s goals are straightforward: break Pakistani society, plant panic seeds, and forward India’s geopolitical ambitions. But the younger generation of Kashmir is not so readily deceived. From past times, they have learnt. Seeing the Balochistan and KP chapters perform, they are not allowing history to repeat itself.

The truth is catching up even online, when false information travels more quickly than fire. Pakistani cyber watchdogs have been revealing ever more exposed bogus accounts and media operations supported by Indians. From India, hashtag campaigns have been followed, disproved, and openly laughed at. People today are more intelligent and better able to separate fake indignation from actual complaints.

The last attempts by RAW to destabilize Kashmir come at a period when the area is showing indications of development. Indices of a community headed forward are development projects, more federal backing, and rising political participation. For RAW and its allies, this development is a threat since a united, vibrant Kashmir stands in sharp contrast to the fake picture they try to present outside. But the soul of Kashmir cannot be purchased with any foreign money. Dollar value is less than unity. RAW’s biggest enemy is the people’s resiliency; they believe in peace, trust Pakistan, and are driven to reject separation.

The game of RAW is not fresh. This is an old script: employ puppets to spread terror, split hearts. But this generation is certainly sightful. They understand what is on risk. They are aware of the actual adversaries. They are ready also with knowledge, solidarity, and truth rather than with guns.

Nobody’s game is set around Kashmir as a pawn. Resilience and loyalty abound in Pakistan, which is its throbbing heart. The rehashed playbook of RAW has matched not just in military force but also in the unquestionable will of a people who reject to be controlled. The whole public is waking. The lies have come to light. And no foreign hand would be let to use Kashmir for its own events. The script for RAW fell short in Balochistan. KP collapsed from it. In Kashmir, it will be ripped apart by truth, by solidarity, and by the relentless spirit of a people that choose peace.
